Description
This course has been tailored for those 8yrs and older who are interested in learning wilderness bushcraft and survival skills. You will be able to practically link academic theory of physics, maths, chemistry, geography and biology into real world applications. This is a 3-4 hours session, that will feed your curiosity and leave you inspired to learn more on how you can enjoy and engage in nature. Some of the content includes:
- Water security. Learn a few different method on how to extract water from nature.
- Food security. Learn how to build primitive traps and trigger mechanisms.
- Survival shelter construction.
- How to navigate by observation of the fauna, flora and the sun.
- What to do if you ever get lost. There are a few strategies that have saved me countless times in using the STOP method.
- Learn the 4 key knot that each have a unique function. These key knots will get you out of pretty much any sticky situation.

Where: Rigarlsford Park, Elphinstone Street, North Rockhampton.
This is an outdoor event so please be Sun Smart, where closed shoes and have a water bottle to stay hydrated.
